Ambassador Toolkit - Events Listings
Your quick-action guide to growing the Waterberg Events Calendar. Help local organisers shine by making it simple for them to list, update, and promote their events.

Overview - Why Event Listings are important

Events are at the heart of community and tourism in the Waterberg. By helping organisers list their events, you:
✨ Grow visibility for local businesses and communities
✨ Attract more visitors and bookings to the region
✨ Position yourself as a trusted local connector
✨ Earn commission when organisers upgrade to paid listings

👉 Use this simple pitch when speaking to organisers:
“Waterberg Tourism offers a platform to showcase your event to locals and visitors across the region. A basic listing is free, and you can upgrade anytime for more visibility and features.”

What qualifies as an event

For the WDI Events Platform, an event is any activity that:

  • Happens on a specific date or over a defined period
  • Takes place at a venue in the Waterberg which can be allocated to one of our specified town areas.
  • Online events must have a clear Waterberg link i.e. the organiser or event owner is Waterberg based so can be allocated to a specific town area.
  • Is open to the public or a defined audience (not private)
  • Adds value to tourism, community, culture, sport, or business visibility in the region
  • Examples: festivals, markets, workshops, sport events, expos, concerts, charity events, school events, special celebrations.
  • Not events: regular business opening hours, ongoing specials, permanent attractions, private functions or online events with no clear Waterberg connection.

Quick Access: Forms You Can Share or Submit

Use the buttons below to reach out to Product Owners or submit a listing if you have all the details.

Use the Forms below to submit a Free or Full Listing yourself:

If a Product Owner/Events Organiser wants to submit a listing themselves, they first need to register as a Product Owner with this form.  This is a once off registration – they don’t need to register each time they want to submit an event. They can then use the Free or Full Event Listing forms to submit events.
